29 Apr The Peer Recovery Group of Seneca, Sandusky, and Wyandot Counties
Recovery Is Beautiful would like to highlight our friends in Seneca, Sandusky, and Wyandot Counties! Here is some information on how they are ensuring the voices of individuals in recovery are heard:
Recently the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties started a Peer Recovery group, attended by individuals in recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction.
Individuals in recovery are leading the Peer Recovery group. This is not counseling or therapy. They talk about the problem, receive feedback and suggestions, plan community events and educational campaigns, and show people that there is hope!
The Peer Recovery group highlights that people in recovery are brave and should be celebrated! They understand that they now have a voice and that they champion the recovery of those suffering around us. They plan to educate and strengthen the community, showing that Recovery Is Beautiful!
For more information or if you would you like to be involved with the local Peer Recovery Group, please contact the group at firstname.lastname@example.org.
